Join or Start a Coastal Cleanup
Every year, millions of volunteers around the world join a coastal or waterway cleanup as part of this single coordinated event, logging exactly what kind of trash they collect so it can feed real ocean-health research. You can join an existing cleanup near you through the official site map, or register to organize your own if there is not one nearby yet. It is family friendly, works for any age with supervision, and is one of the most visibly global service projects a student can point to.
